WEI WEI began her training in Shanghai Dance School, where she was awarded four consecutive annual scholarships to major in classical ballet. She moved to Melbourne with her family for further studies at the Victorian College of the Arts, where she completed secondary school and a Bachelor of Dance. Wei Wei won the VCA's Mary Lou Orloff award for the Most Outstanding Talent in 2002. After graduating, Wei Wei performed with the Sydney Dance Company in their Tivoli season, and with the Australian Ballet in Meryl Tankard's world premiere of 'Wild Swan'. She was a principal dancer in the Australian production of the 'The Lion King' and the dance captain for Lion King's tour of Shanghai. Wei Wei is currently studying for her Certificate III in Fitness, and Postgraduate Diploma in Classical Ballet Teaching, as well as performing with Kita. Her dance expertise includes classical ballet, contemporary, jazz, lyrical, hip hop and Chinese folk dance.
