Wushu Master

Lily Sun is an Associate Professor in Chinese Martial Arts. She was a full time teacher and martial arts chief instructor for 18 years in the physical education department at Wuhan University, China. In Australia, Lily is the only recognized Associate Professor in Martial Arts. She holds a 7th degree black belt in Wushu, and is a certified national Wushu Judge since 1992. She is an accredited coach under the Australian Kung Fu (Wushu) Federation National Coaching Accreditation Scheme, and is also an accredited member of Wushu and Tai Chi Practitioners Association and the Martial Art Alliance. Lily has been teaching in Melbourne University Tai Chi & Wushu Club since 2009.

She started practicing Wushu (Chinese Martial Arts) over 38 years ago in her local province sports school in China. She graduated from Wuhan University of Physical Education in 1984, and was awarded a Bachelor Degree of Education in sports, specializing in Wushu. Apart from teaching at Wuhan University, she was also employed by the Chinese Wushu Academy to be in charge of many National Wushu and Tai Chi Championships. Lily participated in the National Wushu Competition and was awarded with gold medals, and many of her students were also successful in winning gold medals at the championships.
