2010 Australian Dance Awards - Dance Card

Choreographed by Sabrina Dance Troupe's new choreographer Yong Ying Woo, this contemporary piece showcases a new style for the group. Titled 'Portrait', the dance begins by showing the traditional Chinese marriage where men are dominant and have many concubines. Women had little choice but to accept their fate. The scene then changes to show the contemporary version of the marriage where women are independent and empowered, ultimately showing the metamorphosis of women through the ages.
